Are you 12–14 years old? Do you enjoy movies and want to experience the festival from the other side? Sign up for the unique festival jury that decides on the winning film at the BOO International Film Festival. We are looking for film enthusiasts who will become part of the jury in our special 12+BOO section for one day of the festival.
How will it work?
At the festival, you can look forward to a special program of short films prepared specifically for your age group – and then it's up to you to decide which one deserves an award. Your vote will carry real weight: the winning film will receive an award at the festival ceremony.

Workshops and accompanying program
In addition to the screenings themselves, you can also look forward to meeting interesting personalities from the film world. They will lead short workshops in which you will get a glimpse behind the scenes of filmmaking and the festival world. You can choose the activity that interests you most from several options.
You can look forward to:
- Film editing workshop – how a story is born in post-production and how rhythm and timing play a crucial role.
- Film writing workshop – you will try your hand at working with a theme, characters, and a script.
- Workshop "DJ Curator" for the exhibition David Lynch: Up in Flames – you will try your hand at preparing an exhibition and experience the work of a curator firsthand.
Participation in the jury is conditional on participation in the entire program – in addition to the screenings, you will also choose one of the workshops. As capacity is limited, we recommend registering as soon as possible to secure your place in the workshop that interests you most. The exact schedule will be published later, but the program will run all day, from approximately 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Confirmation of participation
If we select you for the jury, we will send you an email with further steps. There is also a small participation fee of CZK 199. Only after payment of this fee will your place on the jury be definitively confirmed.
